Ingredients
For the Dough
- 4 cups (500 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon instant yeast
- 1½ cups (360 ml) warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
For the Filling
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley (optional)
For Brushing
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
1. Make the Dough
- In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.
- Add warm water and olive oil.
- Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth.
- Cover and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
2. Prepare the Flatbreads
- Divide dough into 8 equal pieces.
- Roll each piece into a thin circle (about 8 inches/20 cm).
- Place cheese filling in the center.
- Fold and seal the edges, then gently roll again into a flat round.
3. Cook
- Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Cook each flatbread for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown with toasted spots.
- Brush with melted butter while hot.
4. Serve
Serve warm and enjoy as is, or with:
- Honey
- Yogurt
- Olives
- Fresh tomatoes and cucumbers
